Our History
Formed in 2016, JAM have been making the industry more accessible for actors for the past decade.
Fast forward to present day, weβve hosted thousands of acting, agent and casting workshops, become the most affordable casting workshop company in the UK, developed the leading scholarship for working class actors, produced new plays that champion working class voices and are now work globally with companies across the world as part of Actor Development Programme.

βJAM announce official partnership with BAFTA - who will support the Luke Westlake Scholarshipβ
βJAM commission Bruntwood Prize for Playwritiing winner, Gareth Farr, to write Biscuits For Breakfast. The R&D, supported by Theatre Royal Plymouth and Arts Council England, takes place at TRP Studioβ

βLiam McLaughlin and Kristian Wall, are awarded Stage One bursaries to develop the commercial producing arm of the companyβ
βThe Agent Grad Scheme is launched, a month-long scheme aimed at providing actors in their 3rd year of training a chance to connect with Agents in the industry after the lack of opportunities due to the pandemicβ

βThe JAM Scholarship is renamed and relaunched as the Luke Westlake Scholarship to honour Luke, a close friend of the company who died earlier in 2020 β
βJAM host 2 weeks worth of free Q&As and workshops with leading industry professionals to support creatives during lockdown. Hosts included Katie Poster (Artistic Director of Paines Plough), Tom Bellerby (Resident Director, Donmar Warehouse) and Amy Jackson (Casting Associate, Amy Hubbard Casting)β
